Hydrosols/Floral Waters

What is a Hydrosol?

When plant material is exposed to steam (distillation) the resulting product is an essential oil and the water left over from the condensation process is termed a hydrosol or floral water.  Hydrosols may be applied directly to the skin as a spray, splash or compress.  Hydrosols used alone may hydrate, tone, soothe and refresh the skin.  Hydrosols are also used in the formulations of body care products such as creams, lotions, gels and masks.  We do not endorse the use of hydrosols for internal use.  We carry the following hydrosols.
